Learning and Living
September 2017 - May 2019
M.A. INTERIOR DESIGN, SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN- ATLANTA
While attending graduate school, I developed a passion for design and how it can help others. Over my course of study, I developed a thesis project that received an honorable mention through the ASID foundation scholarship committee. The thesis focused on how the built environment can help with the healing process for adolescents who show signs of PTSD from a mass shooting at school.
August 2012 - May 2016
B.F.A. HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND COMMUNITY PLANNING, COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON
During my time at the College of Charleston, I gained knowledge in the fields of Historic Preservation and Art History. I gained experience in historic building techniques through hands on experience with brick and mortar repairs, grave stone restoration, paint sampling, and historic landmark nomination forms. I traveled to Havana, Cuba with the Historic Preservation Department to learn hands on how Cubans restore buildings and teach future generations about historic preservation.
